Claire DeShong, a Houston native, currently is pursuing her career in Austin, Texas as a commissioned artist and designer.

In 2016 she attended Parson’s School of Design in New York City where she was introduced to the design world. This included design and fashion, and combing the two with visual art and painting. The following year Claire enrolled in the design program at the University of Texas in Austin which expanded her knowledge of branding, typography, image, web and 3-D design.

2019 was the start to “clairedeshong.art,” creating large and small scaled paintings and mixed media pieces for commissions. Her works combine realism with pop-art and present a variety of subjects with an attention to detail and color. Claire hopes to grow and build her collection and brand as she establishes herself as a working artist in Austin, Texas.
